Tried putting a fake owl in my backyard and it backfired big time
I set up this plastic owl near my feeder last Tuesday to scare off the starlings that were hogging all the suet. Instead of leaving, the starlings actually landed on the owl's head and started pecking at it like it was a game. Has anyone else had birds completely ignore your scare tactics?

Oh man, that is too funny. My friend Deb tried one of those owls last spring and the crows just sat around it in a circle like they were having a meeting about it. They figured out it wasn't real after like an hour and then they started bringing twigs and stuff to drop on its head. She finally just tied some shiny CDs to a string and that actually worked better for her...
