Appreciation post: My neighbor's 'free range' chickens keep ending up in my garden
Letting your birds roam without any perimeter control isn't free ranging, it's being a nuisance. I've had to replant my lettuce three times this month because they treat my yard like a buffet. How do you actually manage your flock's range without annoying everyone on the block?

Honestly, this drives me nuts too. Tbh my old neighbor did the exact same thing and my herb garden got totally wrecked. It's just lazy to let them wander into other people's property. A simple fence or even some chicken wire would solve the whole problem. Ngl, people forget that free range doesn't mean free lunch in someone else's yard.

Right! My neighbor's chickens got into my strawberry patch last year and scratched up every single plant. I spent hours fixing that bed and they just let them roam all day like it was no big deal. A roll of wire mesh costs like fifteen bucks and takes ten minutes to set up, it's not rocket science. People act like keeping their animals contained is some huge burden but it's literally just basic responsibility. Why should everyone else have to deal with your lazy pet parenting?
