Hot take: stop tossing oyster shells in the run like it's chicken confetti
My neighbor in Boise dumps a cup of crushed oyster shell in her run every morning and 3 of her hens ended up with sour crop from eating it off the ground like scratch. Keep it in a separate feeder so they take what they need, has anyone else seen birds overdo it when it's just scattered around?
