I bought a $75 automatic coop door that broke in two weeks

Got it online thinking it would make my mornings easier. The motor just stopped working after some rain. Now I'm back to opening it by hand every day. Anyone know a good brand that can handle wet weather?

Oh man, seventy five bucks is rough but honestly I'd be more mad about having to mess with opening it myself again every morning. But is it really that big of a deal? Like yeah it sucks but two weeks in the rain and it dies? Sounds like you got exactly what you paid for if you ask me.

Seventy-five bucks for something that breaks in the rain is insane.

Yeah, I saw an article about how a lot of companies are cutting corners on waterproofing to keep costs down, but then they don't lower the price. It's basically paying a premium for a brand name that doesn't deliver on basic stuff. Makes you wonder what you're actually spending the money on, you know? It feels like a total gamble with expensive electronics these days.
