I saw a hawk take a hen at the county fair's poultry tent last fall, and now I'm torn on free ranging.

Seeing a hawk take a hen like that would make me rethink free ranging too lol.

Started using a covered run with wire over the top. Lets the girls get outside without being an easy target. It's a good middle ground for us.
