My rooster attacked me for the fourth time this month in the rain yesterday

I was out near the coop in Portland trying to fill the feeder during a downpour and Leo flew at my face, so I finally cornered him with a broom and tossed him into the dog kennel for a week timeout. Has putting a bully rooster in solitary ever actually calmed yours down?

Four times seems more like a pattern he's set than a phase.

Maybe try giving him a time out but also rearrange the coop a bit when you let him back out. Switching up the perches and feed spots helped break my rooster's habit because he had to re-learn his territory. Worth a shot if isolation alone doesn't stick.
