TIL my cheap plastic feeder cost me over $50 in wasted feed from spillage and pests before I swapped it out.
What kind of heavy-duty feeders have you all had the best luck with for your flock?

Galvanized steel treadle feeders are bulletproof.

Okay but are we calling them bulletproof just because they're galvanized? I've seen some pretty beat up ones after a few winters, rivera.nathan. The coating can chip if something hits it hard, then you get a rust spot that spreads. They're tough for sure, but nothing lasts forever out in the weather.
