TIL my flock laid exactly 365 eggs this past year

I started tracking out of curiosity, and hitting that number made me appreciate the daily rhythm they add to our yard. Anyone else track their hens' output and get a number that stuck with you?

Tracked mine for a month once. The consistency was weirdly satisfying, even with the occasional zero egg day.

And that consistency thing really is something. I had a friend who tracked for a few months and she said the same thing. She started noticing her bad days always happened after late night dinners, like clockwork. It wasnt even stress, it was just eating at 9pm instead of 6pm. @ruby_sanchez45 I think you're right about the zero egg days being part of the pattern too. She told me her zero egg days were always after she had a big lunch, so it made sense in the long run.
