Warning: My chicken coop door opener decided to go on vacation

So last Tuesday morning, I went out to let the girls out and the automatic door opener on my coop just... didn't. It made this sad little whirring noise and stopped halfway up. My rooster, Big Red, was staring at me like 'bruh, fix it.' I had to manually lift the door, which is a heavy wooden thing, while six hens tried to bolt out between my legs. The whole thing was a mess. I checked the little solar panel, and it was fine, no clouds. Turns out the motor gear inside the 'Chickendoors 3000' just stripped itself after about 8 months. Had to zip-tie the door open for the day while I ran to the hardware store. Anyone have a better brand they trust for automatic doors that won't quit on you?

Oh man... my neighbor's fancy door just gave up one night and a possum got in. Total nightmare.

My buddy's coop door fried his whole flock's morning routine last month.

That door really said "time to automate the chaos." Bet those chickens were not happy having their breakfast schedule hacked by a motor failure. Probably ended up with a bunch of grumpy birds pacing around like they missed their bus. Not a great way to start the day, for sure.
