Am I the only one who found a cheap trick for leveling a shed floor?
I spent 3 hours trying to level my 8x10 shed base with gravel and a tamper and it Still came out crooked. Then an old neighbor told me to just use sand instead of gravel for the final inch and tamp it wet. Anyone else tried this shortcut with better results?

Wet sand actually shrinks a ton as it dries out, so you might end up with the same crooked problem in a few months if you don't compact it right. Could also trap moisture under the shed and rot out the floorboards from below.
