Gravel or mulch for the path to my shed? I went with gravel and here's why.
Had to choose between river rock and shredded cedar for a 40-foot path out back in my yard near Austin. Went with 3/4 inch washed gravel from a local landscape supply for $45 a ton. It drains way better after rain and I don't have to replace it every season like the mulch would need. Anyone else deal with mud issues on their walkways?

I paid $45 a ton for gravel near Austin too, but I'm not sure going with gravel over mulch is that big a deal. It's a path to a shed, not a driveway you're gonna park a truck on. Seems like either one gets you from point A to point B without much drama.
