Mason jar trick for measuring stray fence posts
I was setting posts for a new raised bed border and kept messing up the spacing, so I grabbed a quart mason jar and filled it with water up to the 3 cup line. Turns out that's exactly the volume one bag of quickcrete needs, so I just eyeball the water level at the kitchen sink before mixing. Anyone else use a random kitchen item as a measuring tool on site?

That's brilliant, honestly. I've used a coffee mug for the same thing.
