That solar fountain I bought last spring was a total flop

I picked up this solar fountain kit for my birdbath back in April, thinking it would be this cool low maintenance thing. Cost me about $65 at a local garden center and it barely ran for two weeks before the pump gave out. On cloudy days it just sat there doing nothing, and even in full sun the water flow was weak. I ended up having to run an extension cord out there with a regular pump anyway. Total waste of money and time trying to get it to work right. Did anyone else have better luck with a specific brand of solar fountain?
