The day I realized my raised bed soil was backwards after 5 seasons

Tbh I built my first raised bed in 2019 and filled it with pure compost thinking more nutrients = better. Last spring my tomatoes in Cleveland were all leaves and zero fruit, so I finally tested the soil and the pH was way off. Turns out I needed to mix in topsoil and sand for drainage, not just dump compost in there every year. Anyone else run a whole garden on a wrong assumption before figuring it out the hard way?
