Hit 500 orders this week and honestly I'm shook
Ngl I started selling sourdough loaves from my kitchen about 18 months ago just to cover grocery bills. This week I officially processed my 500th order through my little Etsy shop. I had to double check the numbers because I never thought I'd get past maybe 100 sales total. The wild part is I'm still using the same starter I named "Bread Pitt" back in 2021. Has anyone else hit a random milestone that totally caught them off guard?

Wait isn't Bread Pitt the best name for a sourdough starter ever? lol. That actually reminds me of my mate Dave who started making hot sauce in his flat as a joke. He named his first batch "Satan's Snot" and just gave bottles to his mates for Christmas. Fast forward like two years and he somehow got picked up by a local deli and hit 1000 bottles sold within six months. He was literally shook, kept calling me like "bro I just mix peppers and vinegar how is this happening." The whole thing snowballed so fast he had to rent a small commercial kitchen just to keep up. It's mad how these side hustles just take off when you least expect it.

@simon_wood72 "how is this happening" is exactly why I'm skeptical though, fast growth like that can collapse just as quick.
