That Saturday where everything rose at the wrong time

I had a day last month where my sourdough starter decided to peak at 2am instead of my usual morning schedule. By the time I got to fold the dough at 8am it was already overproofed and sticky. I still baked it off but got flat loaves with no ear at all. Has anyone else had a starter suddenly change its schedule on them like that?

Blame the full moon, mine does this every time.

Did you read that thing about barometric pressure affecting yeast activity? I heard someone talking about it on a baking podcast. @elizabetht56 I bet the moon plays into that too.
