I chose instant yeast over sourdough starter and I stand by it

Everyone in my local group swears by feeding a starter daily, but after 2 failed jars in Portland, I switched to instant yeast for my sandwich loaves. They come out soft every single time in under 3 hours, and I dont have to plan my week around a feeding schedule. Anyone else feel like the starter hype is just gatekeeping?
