My bank's mobile app crashed during a transfer and my rent payment bounced
Happened last Friday when I was trying to send $1,200 to my landlord. The app froze mid-transfer, showed a success message, but the money never left my account. I only found out Monday when my landlord texted me about a returned check fee. Called the bank and they blamed a system outage but wouldn't waive my $35 overdraft fee. Has anyone else had a transaction get lost like this and actually gotten the fee reversed?

Why didn't you just screenshot the confirmation and send it to your landlord?

Used to think a screenshot would be enough, but then I had a landlord claim the screenshot was edited or fake. They wanted something they could verify themselves by logging into their own account. So now I just forward the email confirmation directly to them, it saves the back and forth.
