TIL my bank's fraud alert system blocked a $200 payment to my landlord and nearly got me evicted last week

I was sitting at my desk in Austin on the 1st, wondering why my rent hadn't cleared, and after an hour on hold they told me their algorithm flagged it as suspicious because I've never paid rent from that specific device before, so now I have to call ahead every month or risk a late fee has anyone else dealt with overzealous fraud filters screwing up routine payments?

My buddy had the same crap happen when his bank flagged a $5 coffee as fraud while he was visiting family.
