Warning: I thought the new tap-to-pay limit in the UK was a hassle, but it's actually fine
When they raised the contactless limit to 100 pounds last year, I was sure it would be a mess and lead to more fraud. But after using it for groceries and even a small repair in Manchester, I haven't had a single issue or seen any weird charges. Has anyone else had a smooth time with the higher limit, or did you run into problems?

My local Tesco in Bristol shows the same pattern, people adapt quickly to new limits.

Yeah, we're all just figuring it out.

Wait, do you really think people are just naturally adapting to limits, @wilson.emma? I've been watching my local Sainsbury's and it's more of a mixed bag honestly. Some folks seem fine with the new rules, but others are clearly struggling - I saw a lady yesterday spend five minutes trying to figure out if her multipack crisps counted as one item or several. It feels less like adaptation and more like everyone's quietly annoyed but forced to go along with it.
