Warning: Paid $50 for a "priority" wire transfer that took 5 days

Needed to send $2,000 to my landlord in Chicago fast last month. My credit union offered a priority wire for $50 and said it would arrive same day. It didn't show up for 5 business days, and I got late fee notices. Did anyone else get burned by their bank promising fast transfers that don't deliver?

Honestly, the fine print usually says "may arrive" not "will arrive.

I always screenshot the delivery estimate just in case it says "guaranteed by" instead of "estimated by"...
