Am I the only one who sees barbers not properly sanitizing their clipper blades between clients?
I was getting a cut at a shop in Phoenix last week and watched the barber just blow hair off the blades with his air hose before starting on me, which is a huge health code violation and a quick way to spread skin infections.

Did you say anything to the barber or the shop manager? That's a serious issue and they need to know.

My barber in Austin once nicked my ear pretty bad. I told the shop owner right away and they gave me a free cut the next month. It's the only way they'll fix their process.

Hard disagree. Telling the owner just gets you a coupon and them a chance to cover their tracks. If you really want them to fix their process, you take that ear to social media and let everyone know. Nothing changes faster than a bad yelp review with a photo of your bloody ear. The free cut is just hush money to keep you quiet and make you feel like a loyal customer again. If they actually cared about the process, they would have offered to retrain the barber or given you a refund on the spot, not a month later. Silence helps no one except the guy who's still out there nicking ears.
