Drove 3 hours to that fancy barber museum in Kansas City, not worth it

I figured a city with a whole barber museum would have some clues about old school razor work, but it was mostly vintage chairs and a gift shop. The real stuff I learned came from a retired barber in a strip mall who showed me his 40 year old shears in 10 minutes. Has anyone else been let down by these trade attractions, or am I just picky about where I get tips?

Man, he handed you 40 year old shears just like that? That's wild. Most guys won't even let you breathe on their tools, let alone show you their whole setup in ten minutes.
