Finally saw a real difference in my fade work after 8 months
Ngl I've been cutting hair for about 2 years now and always struggled with getting my fades to blend smooth. Last week I did a cut on a guy who comes in every 3 weeks and I actually saw the before and after photos side by side. The top was 4 inches and the bottom was a 0 guard and the transition looked way cleaner than anything I've done before. I think it's because I finally stopped rushing the clipper over comb part and started taking smaller sections. Has anyone else had that moment where something just clicks after months of trying?

Felt that when I finally slowed down and watched the clipper angle instead of the hair coming off.

Honestly I used to think the clipper over comb part was overrated and you could get away with being quick on it if your guard work was solid. But yeah I started taking way smaller sections too and it changed everything. The blend just sits different when you're not trying to cut a whole inch of hair at once. Took me way too long to admit I was wrong about that.
