Had a client tell me my clipper over comb was looking choppy on top

Switched to a lighter touch and shorter flick after he said 'it feels like stairs back there,' and now those crown blends actually lay smoother - anybody else get humbled by a customer pointing out something obvious?

Oh man, that stings but it happens to the best of us I think. I had a guy once tell me my fade looked like "a map of the mountains" and I was so embarrassed but he was totally right. Sometimes you get in your own head and miss the obvious stuff because you're focused on technique instead of the actual result. It's humbling but honestly those tough clients teach you more than the easy ones ever do. Good on you for adjusting and making it work, that's what separates the pros from the hacks.

Have you ever just had to bite your tongue and eat the cost on a walkout like that? @uma_wilson79 I had a guy once tell me my blend was so choppy it looked like I used a Flowbee on him lol. I ended up having to buzz the whole thing down to a 1 just to fix my mess. But honestly that humbling moment made me slow way down on my guards and actually check the mirror from every angle before calling it done. Tough love from clients is the realest feedback you can get.
