Had a Monday where EVERY cut went perfect, still confused

Last Monday I had 7 clients back to back and every single fade lined up on the first try. No overcorrections, no pulling the guard off to check, just clean blends from start to finish. By the 4th guy I started getting nervous because that NEVER happens to me. Has anyone else had a day where everything just clicked and you couldn't explain why?

I mean "no pulling the guard off to check" is crazy work haha. That's usually my whole routine on a good day.

@camerona79 you really don't ever peek down there just to make sure it's still doing its thing? That's wild to me. I get what you're saying about it being part of the routine though. Most days I'm checking the guard a couple times just to feel like I'm not missing something. But if you skip that step completely, what's your backup plan if something feels off? Like do you just trust the guard completely or do you have another way to know it's sharp?
