My clipper blade dulled after just 3 haircuts

I bought a new set of Wahl blades last month and they were dragging by the third head of hair, had to stop mid-cut. Turns out the factory oil dries up fast and I wasted a full afternoon trying to figure out why my fade was patchy. Anyone else run into new blades failing way quicker than expected?

Isn't it just like everything else where they build things to barely last past the return window now?

Barely past the return window" is EXACTLY right, I had a blender die at 13 months and the warranty was only 12.
