Noticed new barbers in Austin keep skipping the neck line detail

I've been cutting hair for about 8 years now and I swear every new barber I see in Austin leaves the neck line too high or doesn't clean it up proper. Last week I watched a guy at a shop on South Congress finish a fade and just dusted the neck with clippers instead of taking a razor to it. That little bit of detail is what separates a $25 cut from a $45 cut in my experience. Anyone else seeing this trend in their city or is it just the new guys rushing?
