Unpopular opinion: my $300 clippers broke after just 8 months

I bought a set of premium cordless clippers last spring, and the motor gave out yesterday right in the middle of a skin fade. I had to finish the cut with my old backup pair, which felt pretty rough. Has anyone else had a high-end tool fail on them way too soon?

Ouch, that is brutal timing. What brand were they? I feel like some of these "premium" companies are just selling a name now and the actual build quality is garbage. Did you try to get in touch with their customer service about it, or are they just telling you it's out of warranty?

Yeah, they were those fancy noise-canceling ones from LuxeAudio... my luck, right @the_logan? Customer service basically said "tough break" since the warranty ended last month.

Man that timing is brutal. I swear tools know when the warranty runs out. Popped mine right after the 90 day mark like clockwork. Guess my bargain bin clippers are my new best friends for a while. At least when they break I'm only out twenty bucks not three hundred.
