Vent: Stop using thinning shears on the crown and calling it a blend
I had a new client sit in my chair last week from a shop across town. His crown was choppy and thin in patches, looked like someone went at it with thinning shears for 5 minutes straight. Took me an extra 20 minutes with my 46 tooth blending shear just to smooth it out. In my experience, thinning shears wreck the weight distribution up there and leave weird gaps when the hair grows back. I only ever use them on heavy nape areas or thick parietal ridges. Anyone else fixing this mess on the regular?

Called it a blend" like I call a mullet a pixie cut.

Well, that's like calling a garbage fire a controlled burn.
