Got burned on a "mystery box" of 40 books at a garage sale in Tulsa, half were old textbooks
I paid $25 for a sealed box at a garage sale in Tulsa last Saturday because the guy said it was all fiction and mysteries, and I figured 40 books for 25 bucks was a steal. When I got home, 19 of them were old college textbooks from the 90s, like a stats book and two accounting workbooks, and the rest were water damaged paperbacks. How do you all check a box before you buy it, or do you just stop buying sealed boxes?
