Guy at the Akron library sale told me paperbacks under $2 are "junk" and I almost lost it
I was digging through the 50 cent bins at the Akron-Summit library sale over the weekend and a guy next to me picked up a beat-up copy of a Vonnegut paperback, flipped it over, and told his buddy that anything under $2 is junk not worth the shelf space. I told him I've pulled first printings and signed copies out of those same bins for pocket change, and he just shrugged and walked off. Am I crazy for thinking the cheap bins are where the real finds are, or do some of you actually skip them too?
