Stop sleeping on library discard sales, you are missing out big time

I used to only hit thrift stores for cheap books until I stumbled into a library discard sale last Saturday. They were selling hardcovers for 50 cents each and I walked out with 12 books for 6 bucks total. The trick is to ask the librarian when they clear out their overstock, most libraries do it quarterly. Has anyone else scored at a library sale or is everyone just fighting over the same overpriced Goodwill shelves?

Oh man, I read that some libraries sell books for as low as a quarter and it's totally true.

Ive found some real gems at those library sales, it's a great way to find cheap books
