The library sale box I skipped had a signed first edition inside

I swung by the Friends of the Library sale last Saturday and walked right past a box labeled 'mystery grab bag, $2' because I figured it was all beat-up Danielle Steel. This lady next to me dug in and pulled out a signed Barbara Kingsolver first edition, I about fell over. Now I'm wondering if those grab bags are worth the gamble on a regular basis, what have you guys pulled out of the mystery boxes?
