Figured out last week that I was bending spoons the lazy way for 3 years
I always grabbed the bowl and just cranked the handle back with my wrist, which gave me these ugly kinked bends right at the neck every time. Last week my buddy Marcus handed me a cheap teaspoon from a diner in Reno and bent it by pinching the handle up near the bowl with both thumbs and pushing the bowl down slow. The bend came out smooth and even and the metal didn't crack at all, and I felt like a total rookie. Has anyone else changed up their grip after years of doing it one way, and did it actually save your wrists or just your spoons?
