Finally gave those waxed chains a real shot after a year of doubt

Had a customer bring in a bike with 500 miles on a waxed chain. Zero gunk, no rust, shifting was smooth. I was sure it was a messy fad. Cleaned it with just a wipe, no degreaser needed. What finally sold me was seeing the cassette still look new. Anyone here run wax on their own shop bikes? What's your setup?

Guess it takes seeing a clean cassette to admit you were wrong. That's a pretty solid sales pitch right there. My shop bike is still on the old drip lube for now.

Try it on that shop bike next.

Oh man, that's the real proof right there! The cassette staying clean shows how little grit the wax lets stick to the chain. It honestly makes the whole drivetrain last way longer.
