Seriously, shops make money selling parts, not tightening bolts! They have a reason to jump straight to replacements. Your hot take hits the wallet and the truth.

Come on, pat42, that's painting with a pretty wide brush. Sure, some places might push for a full part swap, but a loose bolt is a ten minute fix with a torque wrench. I've seen mechanics spot a bad sensor and clean the connector instead of selling a new one. Isn't it more about finding an honest shop than some big conspiracy?
