Spent an hour trying to find a noise in my bike that was just a loose water bottle cage bolt
I was chasing this rattling sound for over an hour on a customer's hybrid bike last Tuesday. Checked the headset, pedals, seatpost clamp, even took the rear wheel off twice. Turned out one of the water bottle cage bolts was barely a quarter turn loose. Felt like an idiot but at least the customer got a free laugh out of it. Anybody else waste way too long on something this basic?

Spent a whole day looking for a ghost rattle. It was a loose tire valve cap.
