That $90 spoke tension meter I bought sits in a drawer, gauge is fine
I mean, I bought one of those spoke tension meters after watching a bunch of videos, figured I needed it for my first wheel build. Spent a whole weekend fiddling with it, got readings all over the place, then realized my cheap Park Tool gauge does the same job with less fuss. The meter cost me $90 at a shop in Portland and I've used it twice since. Anyone else find these things are overkill unless you're building wheels every week?
