Man, that reminds me of the time I used some candle wax on a squeaky door hinge. Sometimes the simplest fix is just the right one.

Tried the soap trick once but grabbed the wrong bar by mistake. My dresser drawer smelled like lavender for a month.

That's a solid old-school trick. My grandpa swore by rubbing a dry bar of soap on sticky drawers instead of oil. Said it didn't attract dust the same way. Worked surprisingly well on his toolbox too.
