Warning: my old way of seating tubeless tires involved a lot of shouting and a CO2 canister

Now I just use a cheap garden sprayer tank as an air reservoir, which I saw a guy in Boise do, and it seats a 29er first try every time. Anyone have a better trick for stubborn tires?

How did you rig up the sprayer tank? I used to swear by the compressor method, but that reservoir trick sounds like it gives a slower, steadier blast of air that really works. Might have to give it a shot myself.

Actually @noah_barnes it's the compressor that gives the steadier blast, not the tank lol.

Commiserate with you there, Noah. I tried the compressor method for years and it always felt like I was fighting the thing. The reservoir setup is more about patience than power, if that makes sense. It took me a few tries to get the valve right, but once I did, it really settled down. Just my two cents, but if you give it a shot, make sure you bleed the line first or you'll get a nasty sputter. Hope it works out as well for you as it did for me.
