My commute went from 55 minutes to 35 after I switched from Spandex Roadie Route to the canal towpath
Rode the same 8 miles for 2 years on the main road with all the lights and cars, then tried the canal path behind the old warehouse district in Rochester last month and shaved 20 minutes off door to door. It's flat, no stop signs, and I see herons instead of angry drivers. Anyone else ditch the road route for a slower-looking path and end up way faster?
