Thought clipless pedals were a scam until I tried them on my 9 mile commute to the station
I figured clips were just something road racers bragged about, so I kept my flat pedals for two years of riding to the firehouse. Last month a buddy lent me his shoes and pedals for a week and my knees quit aching on the big hill on Vine Street by day three. Turns out pulling up on the stroke does more than I expected, especially in rain when my feet quit sliding around. Now I'm shopping for my own setup but the options are overwhelming. Any recs for something easy to clip out of in traffic?
