Dropped $50 on a show box set and it was a total waste

Picked up the complete series of that spy drama everyone raved about. Got it on sale for $50. First season was good. Second season started losing me. By season three it was just nonsense. Plot holes everywhere. Characters doing dumb stuff for no reason. Return policy was dead since I opened the plastic. Now it's just sitting on my shelf. Anyone else get burned buying a full series without testing a few episodes first?

Wonder if people actually care that much or just like complaining. @christopher_west1 probably just a loud minority making it seem bigger than it is.
