Rant: I was wrong about skipping the first season of 'The Expanse'

My buddy in Denver kept telling me to just start with season two, saying the first one was slow. I finally went back and watched it all, and the world-building totally hooked me. Anyone else have a show they regretted skipping parts of?

My cousin skipped the pilot of "Breaking Bad" and missed the whole tone. He had to rewatch it all from the start.
