Spent 3 hours trying to fix my streaming quality on Roku before finding the real issue

I was trying to binge the latest season of The Bear and it kept buffering every 10 minutes. Turns out my Roku Stick was overheating because it was tucked behind the TV with zero airflow. Has anyone else run into a dumb tech issue that ruined their binge session for way longer than it should have?

Oh honey, that's the TV equivalent of trying to work out with a hoodie on in July. Of course the Roku was overheating, you basically gave it a sauna session! Did you figure that out by touching it and realizing you could cook an egg on it?

@the_rose you're not wrong about the hoodie analogy, that's exactly what it felt like. I actually touched the back of it after it kept crashing and nearly burned my finger, it was that hot. The thing was basically suffocating in that cabinet with zero airflow. Moved it to an open shelf and it's been working fine ever since. Funny how the simplest fixes are the ones you overlook at first.
