The Bear season 2 is overhyped and I wasted 6 hours of my life
Everyone kept saying it was the best show of the year, so I binged all 10 episodes in one weekend, and I don't get the hype at all. The constant yelling and chaos just stressed me out, not entertained me. Am I the only one who found it more annoying than good?

Man, I feel you. That show is like an anxiety attack in TV form. I couldn't get past the first few episodes because it just made me feel wound up and irritated. Everyone I know acts like it's some masterpiece of storytelling but I just see a bunch of people yelling at each other in a kitchen. You're not the only one who found it more annoying than good, not by a long shot. Sometimes loud and chaotic doesn't mean deep or compelling, it just means loud and chaotic.

Call me crazy but I actually think that show works because of the chaos not despite it. You're watching people under real pressure crack and fight and still somehow push plates out the door and that kind of kitchen tension is exactly what made me keep watching. The yelling feels like a release valve for everything building up behind it, like if they stopped shouting the whole place would just collapse. And honestly the quiet moments hit harder because you've been through all that noise with them first. Loud and chaotic can be its own kind of storytelling if you let it settle on you right. Maybe it's not for everybody but calling it shallow misses where the craft actually lives.

@seanh91 nailed it, ten episodes of pure stress is not entertainment to me either.
