The guy at the bus stop who got me hooked on 'Dark'
I was waiting for the 72 bus near 5th and Pine last winter, and this random dude next to me just out of nowhere says 'you look like you need a show that messes with your head.' He pulled out his phone and showed me the first 5 minutes of 'Dark' on Netflix. The way he explained the time loops and the family tree with like 19 characters made me skeptical at first, but I binged the whole first season in 3 days. Has anyone else had a stranger completely change your watch list with just a quick pitch?

Makes you realize how much good stuff is hiding in plain sight if someone just points at it.

Nah, I actually see it the opposite way. Most people just parrot what they heard and suddenly everyone thinks it's genius. Like someone telling you a restaurant is amazing, you go and it's just decent.
There's plenty of good stuff that's obvious on its own. You don't need someone to point at it. If it was that good, you'd notice it yourself.
Sometimes the pointing just makes people think something is special when it's not. Just my take.
