The night I hit episode 50 of a show I swore I'd hate

I spent years rolling my eyes at this long-running sci-fi series my brother loved. He kept saying it gets good after season 2, but I thought that was just fan talk. Last month I was sick and bored, so I gave it a shot on a whim. I watched episode after episode, and before I knew it, I was at a milestone: 50 episodes in. That number surprised me because I never expected to get past the first season. Has anyone else been dead wrong about a show and then binged way more than they planned?

Best advice is to just accept the loss and finish it at this point.

Right there with you. I started watching that one show about the guy with the meth lab after my brother begged me for years, swore it wasn't my thing. Next thing I knew I was 40 episodes deep and it was 3am and I had to be up for a delivery at 5am. Now I'm just accepting the loss and getting ready to finish the whole thing (probably all 62 episodes or whatever). My brother won't shut up about it, which is the real punishment.
