TIL a buddy told me I was skipping the boring parts of shows and missing the point

I always fast forward through slow scenes in shows like Better Call Saul to get to the action. My buddy said I was missing character building and the payoff doesn't hit as hard. Ever had someone call you out on how you watch something that made you try a different approach?

You skip scenes in Better Call Saul? That show is basically one long slow burn, skipping any part of it feels like watching a movie with the middle chapters ripped out.
